Needs of statistics on freight train reliability – a pre-study
It has come to Transport Analysis awareness that official statistics regarding freight trains reliability are requested. Available public information about punctuality for freight trains has seen as insufficient to meet users demand. Before the production of official statistics begins, a key question has to be investigated: what is a relevant content from user’s point of view?
Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute has conducted a study based on the key question. The study has been commissioned by Transport Analysis and present report is the result from it. The author's conclusions may not always comply with Transport Analysis opinions.

Results from the study will Transport Analysis take into consideration in the development of freight train statistics, along with all other aspects of quality mandatory for official statistics in Sweden.
